Hello, friends. My name is Siarhei Tsikhanouski.
It’s not easy for me to ask for help, but now it’s my turn. Today I am asking for your support, just like dozens of other Belarusians who have survived political persecution. My wife is a leader of the democratic forces, but that does not mean there are unlimited resources behind me or that my health problems are solved automatically. My recovery is a challenge for me, just like for everyone who has been through prison.
You probably know me as a blogger, the author of the channel A Country for Life, and the person who in 2020 wanted to run in the presidential election in Belarus. Instead, I ended up behind bars — for five long years. Almost all that time I spent in solitary confinement. No communication, no medical care, under pressure that is hard to describe in words.
But all this time I held on. I believed I would get out, hug my children, and hear Sviatlana’s voice again. And on June 21, 2025, it happened — I was released. Today I am with my family again, and this is a happiness that cannot be overestimated.
However, I came out with my health undermined. And now my main task is to recover so I can live fully, work, and continue to fight.
I want to restore my health, regain my strength, and continue to be useful. For my family, for Belarus, for you.
Thank you for your support and faith!

Fundraising Goal:
€8000
€2500 — full medical check-up
In five years I did not have a single test done. I need to understand the condition of my body, get an ultrasound, MRI, lab tests, and see the necessary doctors.
€4500 — dental treatment and prosthetics
Almost all my teeth are ruined. Behind bars this cannot be treated — at best they could just pull them out. Now I need full treatment and prosthetics so I don’t feel pain every time I eat or speak.
€1000 — vision correction
My eyesight has worsened significantly. I need a full diagnosis and either new glasses or surgery.
