Helping an activist recover from an injury

  • Story

Since 2020, I have actively expressed my civic position in Belarus: I went to marches, left street signs, and put up BSB flags.

For my active position I was on 24-hour jail four times — 67 days in total. I stayed in Belarus till the last, but after I was charged under articles 367 of the Criminal Code (slander against the President of the Republic of Belarus), 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a representative of the authorities) and 342 of the Criminal Code (organizing and preparing actions that grossly violate public order), I had to evacuate urgently.

While in another country, I received a serious injury to my arm (a compound fracture), and unfortunately I have no right to free medical care and do not have the means to fully pay for treatment and rehabilitation on my own.

After re-examination, it turned out that the injury was more serious than the doctors initially thought — if I don't undergo the whole course of treatment, there is a possibility that my arm will not fully recover. According to the doctors, the treatment and recovery will last about three months [BYSOL Foundation has all the supporting documents].

Thank you to everyone who will support me in this difficult time.

How much is needed?

€3000

€1400 — surgery.
€800 — dressings, x-rays, medication that will be needed for recovery.
€800 for food and running costs. (Due to inability to work for the period of treatment — approximately 3 months)

UPD:
We have increased the amount of the collection because after another examination it turned out that the injury is more serious than originally thought. [BYSOL Foundation has all the supporting documents].

The collection is over. Сollected:
