I am a Belarusian who protested against the dictatorship in 2020. After that, in order not to end up behind bars, I was forced to leave for Lithuania.
I lived in Vilnius and worked as a cook by the sea. Everything was going well. But in February 2022 my childhood friend, who was already in Ukraine, called me. He said: “There aren’t enough people here.” I didn’t think long. I packed my backpack and went.
That’s how I ended up at the front – as a combat medic. My callsign is “Necromancer.” I served in the Kalinouski Regiment and pulled the wounded out from the very zero line, gave them first aid under fire. I was near Pokrovsk, near Kharkiv, near Zaporizhzhia. It was a difficult path, but every life saved is a small miracle.
Now, after the last mission, I am undergoing rehabilitation and training new recruits. I pass on everything I know myself. But soon I will return to the front line again. Because I know there has to be an experienced person like me there.
Until now, I have always managed on my own and found everything I needed, buying it with my own money. But now I can’t do it alone anymore. I need a vehicle. Because without transport, I am just a pedestrian with a first aid kit in the middle of a war. And with a vehicle, I can make it. Make it to save.
We need to raise €6000 for a reliable pickup truck: a Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200, Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux – whichever we can find faster and better for this money.
