Assistance to a Belarusian who was forced to flee due to threats of imprisonment

  • Story

My name is David, I am 23 years old and an active participant in the protests. The year 2020 has been a game changer for me. I finally began to take an interest in politics and actively participate in the life of the country. From the very beginning of the protests in Belarus, I tried to participate in all actions and did my best to bring about change in Belarus. At first I just went with friends to the marches, but then I got so involved that I became a very active participant of the yard chat and every day I tried to mess up the regime as much as possible.

I was convicted under Articles 342 and 364 of the Criminal Code. I WAS CONVICTED UNDER ARTICLES 342 AND 364 OF THE CRIMINAL CODE OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS. Now I am in Ukraine and need help to survive, because I had to flee the country. If not for kind people, who warned me about the criminal case in advance, I would have been in jail.

I am safe now and I am getting a visa to Poland, but I am all alone and I don't have any savings so I can fly to Poland and rent a place to stay for a while. I would be very grateful to anyone who would support me during this difficult time!
