Friends, readers, colleagues!
“Vitebsky Courier news” is an independent media outlet that, since 2020, has reported on life in Vitebsk and the region truthfully and without censorship. For this, our materials were labeled “extremist,” our website was blocked, and part of our team was forced to flee Belarus.
Despite everything, we continue to work. We have relaunched the website and aim to grow our audience and develop new formats – such as videos for TikTok and other platforms. We believe Vitebsk deserves truthful news. Over the next three months, we plan to register a legal entity, build sustainable support, and create new, engaging content to carry on our mission. We also want to expand to new platforms and produce short videos about life in Vitebsk using modern tools, including AI, to make our content even more vivid and accessible.
But right now, the project is on the edge of survival. Our finances are nearly exhausted, and continuing without support is no longer possible. €3500 will allow us to cover staff salaries, website hosting and its mirror, and short video production over the next three months. Of that, €3000 will go toward salaries, €84 for hosting, and €416 for video production using AI.
If you’re able to help, even a small contribution matters. It will enable us to keep working and continue telling the truth about Vitebsk.
Sincerely,
Aleksandr Kornyshev
journalist, editor, and owner of “Vitebsky Courier news”
