Help for doctor Maya Terekulova, who went through repression

  • Story

My name is Maya Terekulova, I am a pediatrician, worked in Maryina Gorka. I published on the local independent news site interviews with people who took part in the protests, hoping to show the rioters that the protesters were their neighbors, hairdressers, doctors and teachers.

I was a member of the independent trade union Panacea. They didn't prolong my contract at the regional hospital and wrote in my characteristic: “I spoke negatively about the current government.

I looked for a job for a long time, got a job in Babruisk. I continued to keep a personal blog in social networks and wrote about the problems of health care. I gave interviews to independent mass media.

Lists came to work and I was fired. I was refused employment in 12 medical institutions of Mogilev region, in all hospitals, polyclinics, sanatoriums and first-aid stations, where vacancies of pediatrician were available.

I was given to understand that I wouldn't work in Belarus. I have three children, I need a job. I was afraid to be arrested.

I came to Poland. I had to learn Polish as soon as possible to confirm my diploma. I want to take an express course for a fee. In addition to tuition, I need a minimum amount to live on until I confirm my diploma. I will be grateful for everyone's support.

How much is needed?

1000€ — express Polish course up to B1; medical Polish course; for three months to live until I learn the language.
