Aid to Svetlana, a retired BMZ employee

  • Story

My name is Svetlana. I am a former BMZ employee.

Why ex-employee? In solidarity with my supervisor, who was not extended his contract for political reasons, I, not being able to go against my conscience and silently watch the lawlessness going on around me, on the same day I wrote a letter of resignation.

Last August I was detained and charged under Part 3, Article 23.34 of the Administrative Offenses Code and fined 810 rubles. Before that in June I was also fined 405 rubles under Part 1 of Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code.

Later, in October I was again detained and taken into custody as an accused, but already on suspicion of committing Article 188 of the Criminal Code (slander against the employees of executive bodies).

Now my family is in a difficult situation — my husband and I were left without work because of our civil position with a child in our arms. We've been through arrests, fines. And at this moment, we are fighting not only for life in the new democratic country, but also for our own, as my husband has been diagnosed with cancer.
So now we are asking for all the help we can get from you and for solidarity with our family!
