In January, my child and I fled Belarus to Kaliningrad, where we were helped by this initiative to close primary needs. We raised about $650, for which we were able to make visas, close acute issues, and some of the money was left over for relocation to Poland.
We came to Poland to visit acquaintances. We had inexpensive housing for almost 3 months, the amount was split in half with acquaintances. We were able to apply for international protection, find a job and move.
During the probationary period the salary is penny, rent and utility bills are huge. Ready to just accept help with food and things, but we have to keep living. I am alone in Poland with a child, I don't get any help, I look for extra work and try to live somehow. It took about 3,500 zlotys for several months to translate the documents alone.
Our family will be very grateful for everyone's solidarity.
