Helping a worker fired for participating in peaceful protests get a driver's license

  • Story

Hello!
My name is Sergey (my name has been changed for security reasons, BYSOL Foundation has all identification documents).

In 2020, I was fired from MTZ, where I worked, formally for absenteeism. But in reality I was fired for participating in peaceful protests. After that I left for Poland. However, I did not succeed in establishing myself in a foreign country. So I returned home.

But there is another problem in Belarus. The thing is that those fired for protesting are not hired in any state organization. Even the lowest-paid positions are very difficult to find. And private organizations are afraid to do business with me, because they are afraid of attracting the attention of controlling bodies.

The only way out I see now is to work as a courier or a cab driver. But I don't have a license. And I don't have the money to go to a driving school. So I ask you to help me cover the cost of training.

Thank you!
