We are a family from Belarus and my name is Natalya Strelchenko. Our family has always taken an active part in political and social activities of the country. In 2020 I took part as a candidate for the presidential election, I was an observer at the polling station and took part in some actions in Minsk.
In September 2020 our family was subjected to repression and threats from law-enforcement bodies. In half a year 5 searches were conducted, equipment was seized and criminal cases were brought against me and my husband, who is currently put on the wanted list.
Our family had to leave Belarus. At the moment we are in Poland, under international protection. We have a difficult situation — we got ill with COVID-19. I was in intensive care, now we are being treated at home and we can't provide ourselves with everything we need. We need financial help.
