This summer we had an event that brought a lot of pain and suffering to our family. My brother, Leonid, was brutally detained for not being afraid to join the fight against the injustice taking place in our country in August 2020.
He was sentenced to four years in prison for actions he did not commit. All the charges against him were trumped up. What happened to my brother had a great effect on his health. After all the beatings he got, his hip disease started to progress and he now walks with a cane. He is lonely, he has no family, his parents left a long time ago.
I, his cousin, am the only one he has, and all the problems have fallen on me. I am a pensioner, my pension is small and I have serious health problems. At first I had to pay for a paid lawyer, then there were weekly transfers to the detention center for four months. Now I have to make monthly money transfers of 100 rubles and send parcels as needed.
I will be very grateful to everyone who will help me support my brother financially. At the moment, I am the only one who is carrying this very heavy burden.
