Treatment and rehabilitation of an activist from Berezovka

Sergey Pantus is an activist from Berezovka. He worked for many years in Belarus and his hometown. Together with the deceased political prisoner Vitold Ashurk, he participated in political campaigns, solved the environmental problems of his town, and was involved in the memorialization of participants in the Kastus Kalinouski uprising.

At the end of 2021, Sergei was forced to leave Belarus and ended up in Bialystok due to the threat of criminal prosecution for political reasons. There he worked at a construction site until recently.

On June 19, he felt ill at work and lost consciousness. At the hospital he was diagnosed with a ruptured cerebral vessel aneurysm. Sergei underwent several surgeries and was put into an induced coma for several days.

Now he came to consciousness, but he will have to undergo at least six months of medical treatment and rehabilitation. During this time he will not be able to work and support himself.
