Hello! I am an ordinary Belarusian who is now in a difficult situation. I am 50 years old. Furthermore, I have been in Poland since the end of 2020 when I moved here due to a strong sense of danger in Belarus. Before that, I lived in Minsk and worked as an actor in episodic roles. In addition, since the 90s, I was a member of the Belarusian Christian Democrats, went to the square in 2010 and to marches in 2020.
I decided to leave with my wife when the security forces started looking for me. We would have done it earlier, if not for my beloved dog. Leaving him was not an option, so we waited for the documents. As soon as everything was ready, we went to Poland. But in emigration, everything was not easy. First, I was deceived at my first job — they paid 10 times less. I found another one, as an electrician in a private company — everything seemed to be fine.
But at the beginning of 2024, my wife and I broke up, and that's where all the misfortunes began. My legs started hurting, and I had to have two surgeries in February and March. Then I spent three months in rehabilitation, which meant I couldn't work. When I recovered, I got a job as a security guard at a store, but they cheated me again. Then my mother died, and I couldn't even say goodbye to her. Last fall, my documents were stolen, including my residence permit and bank cards. While I was waiting for my documents to be restored for three and a half months, I couldn't work. But at least I had money to live on.
And on December 29, 2024, I suddenly lost consciousness. I remember being at home, going to the kitchen, and falling. At that time, food was cooking on the stove, and it started to burn. Later, I found out that the neighbours had called the firefighters and the police, who had entered the apartment through the window. They called an ambulance.
I experienced clinical death in the hospital. I also broke a rib and my face was smashed because of the fall. But I couldn't stay there for long, because my dog was waiting at home. True, when I left the hospital under my responsibility, it turned out that the house was no longer there: the owner terminated the contract, which was until May 2025. In the end, I did not argue, gave the keys and went with the dog to the station. Then I lived in the metro.
A few months ago I got a job in delivery, now I live in a hostel. I like my job, I ride a bike — it is useful physical exercise. I have a best friend — my dog, for whom I am responsible. There are good people around, and for those who turned away, I am sure — everything will back like a boomerang.
Now I would like to return to normal life: pay off debts, finally rent an apartment and find a home for myself and the dog. I will be very grateful to you for your help.
