We are a young family with a clearly defined civic position. Since 2020, our life has become one of fear and flight. My young man was forced to withdraw his documents from university in the last month of his studies — he did not want to serve the regime.
Since August 2020 we participated in all kinds of rallies and protests and were detained on August 10. We were threatened with death, humiliated and physically assaulted. Since 2021 we have been living in Russia, hiding from political persecution (a young man is in a non-exile status). I have been an activist since 2020 and in social networks, helped people with urgent relocation, also arranged monetary collections for fines.
A year ago my family lost my father, my mother was left alone in Belarus. Now, being in Russia, we can't tolerate the disgusting and horrible regime of both our country and this country. We can no longer feel fear all the time. In order to stay free we need money for urgent relocation, as well as to help my mother, who was left alone. I had to leave her to avoid another crackdown.
