In August 2020, we participated in protests as a family. During one of the marches I got caught and was sentenced under Article 23.34 of the Criminal Code for 15 days (Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus — violation of the order of organizing or holding mass events), after which I left Belarus. But my dad didn't manage to leave, and a criminal case was brought against him.
Now my dad is in a colony. He is sentenced to a long term. Several times a year we collect a big parcel for my father with necessary things and products — vitamins, warm clothes, hygiene products, medicines, etc. The average cost of such a parcel is 250-300 dollars. I haven't seen my dad for three years. During all this time I have received only a few letters from him. So these programs are almost the only way we can communicate with each other. And I ask you for financial help to keep this thread of our communication alive.
