House for refugees from Belarus in Warsaw

  • Story

In September 2020, our Humanosh Foundation threw everything we had into helping people from Belarus who arrived. Hundreds of people turned to us for help in finding and paying for housing, as most Belarusians were forced to flee from repression and leave their homes to move to another country, without savings and without means of livelihood. Many people, families and children ended up in refugee camps. This is why we had the idea to open the Peace House in Warsaw, a temporary shelter for people who had to leave Belarus because of political repressions.

In the spring of 2021, we were able to realize our project, we rented and equipped a house in Warsaw.
Since the opening of the Peace House, more than 70 people, including 23 children, received help after their emergency arrival in Poland, found a temporary home and were able to get back on their feet. The home is designed to house 18 people at a time. It is the only place of its kind not only in Warsaw, but also in Poland.

Unfortunately, the repression in Belarus has not weakened, but has become even tougher, and the flow of relocated immigrants from Belarus has not stopped. The “Peaceful House” project is more relevant now than ever, especially with the cold weather. That's why we ask you to support our project financially. The monthly maintenance costs of the Peace House are around € 2000.

How much is needed?
